Volunteering in dog rescueWe have two charity shops; one in Church Stretton and one in Bishops Castle
The Animal Samaritians Midlands Trust charity shops provide one of the main incomes for Dog Samaritans dog rescue animal charity, helping rescue dogs in South Shropshire. Run entirely by volunteers, the shop's aim is to aid all animals in need - 95% of the shop’s profits are spent directly on assisting animals. We appreciate donations of all second-hand clothing, books, ceramics and house-wares....
Having said that, if you have got something new to donate we often run a raffle too.
We also need volunteers for other activities that are crucial to our work.
1)Tin shakes at various super markets across the west midlands.
2)Carrying out home checks across the west midlands and mid wales. training will be given, to help rehome rescue dogs..
3)Transporting people to the kennels to view rescue dogs that may not have cars.
4)Transporting rescue dogs to the vets from the kennels (Shrewsbury area)
5)Picking up rescue dogs from the west midlands and mid wales and taking them to the kennels.
6) Volunteer dog walkers at Nipstone kennels, near the stiperstones.
